From Friends to…

Sometimes you think you have chemistry with a person but when the relationship develops from friendship to more than friendship... WEIRD LANG! People always say the best relationships are found or starts out with friendship. There's this guy you see... we've been friends for months and I have been quite closey-closey to him thinking he wasn't and wouldn't be interested in something more. But lately... things have been different. I don't usually read between the lines or assume things but this one's different. I know, definitely know, he's interested. And it's weirding me out. We've been fine, very much ok, more than fine as friends, as buddies. Bakit kasi eh... I really don't get how we got from there to here, from being friends to this awkward place we're in right now. My friend is saying it must be my weight loss. (unsure) Maybe I am not really mature when it comes to these things. You see... I'm the kind of girl who categorizes guys. On this corner are my guy friends. If you get close enough to me, you are a close guy friend with whom I will probably never have any romantic eklavus with. And on the other…

Meet HoboNeil

Weeks ago, a good friend of mine, asked me for help with blogging. He was suddenly in the mood to write and blog about stuff going on in his life. My friend, a confidante and adviser of mine, is Peter Neil Siarot, now know by his online handle, HoboNeil. He mostly blogs about his personal experiences and insights. What I find most interesting are his everyday recipes. His ampalaya recipe definitely caught my attention. He also features some places in Davao City that he has visited. His blog is very candid and heartfelt. ;) Help me welcome him into the crazy Philippine blogosphere by visiting his blog, HoboNeil.

Never Been This Un-Emo

Yes, yes, yes... life has been good lately. Despite the unexpected kinks, and several minor problems I am facing (or choosing to ignore) right now, I have never been this un-emo. This blog, as with most of my other personal blogs, started out of angst and thrived on my many whines, rants, and anger towards people and my life. But lookie... I am smiling right now. I don't have a family (not in the way many people have), and I don't even have a boyfriend. But am I am moving on with a great big smile on my face. As I have shown in my Nokia video (of FAIL coz it was so shaky people got dizzy every time they'd watch it), I have so many things going on in my life right now, that I do not have much time to be angry or sad anymore. Which is also prolly why I don't have much reason to blog here anymore. Life is still full of sorrow and pains and yes, HATRED! But what the hell, I got my work, I got my friends, I got my relatives, I have my life to live. So screw the haters and flamers…

Thank You Boys!

Just when I was starting to become jaded and pessimistic, the world, you guys, gave me a reason to smile. You made me cry, made me remember, made me realize that everything has not been in vain, that the hard work has not been futile. Thank you for making me believe again! Thank you for making me realize I still matter! Thank you for giving me a reason to move forward! THANK YOU!

Me at the Eraserheads Concert

photo by Markku I remember listening and singing to Toyang a dozen times a day when I was in Grade 5. In Grade 6, I memorized "Pare Ko" by heart, and even watched the movie based on the song. LULZ! My favorite Eraserheads songs were With a Smile, Huling El Bimbo, and Fruitcake. Huling El Bimbo became popular as me and my first year classmates in 1 - Pearl of PSHS-MC were about to part ways. Fruitcake, on the other hand, became popular during the Christmas season during my second year. I remember my classmates Rhoda and Kimberley giving me a Fruitcake cassette as a Christmas gift. I was a fan. Not a total fanatic, but I loved them nonetheless. When news about their reunion concert spread, I never expected that I would be able to watch it. It just so happened I am in Manila for work. But then I really didn't have the P800 for the tickets. But one day before the concert, Poyty sent me an SMS informing me that Red Horse through Juned and Markku was giving away tickets to bloggers. Eraserheads. Reunion. FOR FREE! How could I say no?! So there I was 4 pm…
