*This was supposed to be a Facebook status message but ran too long so I decided to make a blog post instead.*
I think it’s incredulous that people are focusing on how the Zamboanga conflict could be a conspiracy to cover up the pork barrel scam.
Instead of speculating about this and that, why don’t people just share HELPFUL information?
If you can’t say anything helpful, truthful, informative, or logical, shut up na lang please. Don’t add unnecessary garbage into the discussion.
I know we each own our own timeline and newsfeed spaces. And yes, I have no business telling people what to say or publish.
Ang sa akin lang, let us not forget that the numbers we read or hear about are not just numbers. When the headline says 4 people died, 4 people actually died. IRL. This is not some pretend world we’re talking about.
Do not add fuel to the fire. Your baseless theories add nothing to help the desperate plight of those who are in Zamboanga.
And as my Zamboanguena friend, Yolynne Medina said, Zamboanga never told anyone to stop talking aout the Pork Barrel scam. So how come people have jumped to the conclusion that this is just nothing but a diversionary stunt?
Saying so is counterproductive. And it shows how little you know or pretend to know about the MNLF/MILF/ARMM/Bangsamoro situation. Saying that the current Zambonga conflict is nothing more than a diversionary tactic is tantamount to saying that the MNLF/MILF/ARMM/Bangsamoro issues are non-existent. Remember that little knowledge can be dangerous.
Let us all be conscientious and responsible citizens. Online and offline. For Zamboanga. For Mindanao. For the Philippines.
