Before and After

That was me (with blockmate Benj Pasaporte) grudgingly doing field work at San Pablo, Laguna's Seven Lakes. I weighed around 160 pounds with a waistline of 38. LULS! This is me now... Well, PicLyf's camera is a bit deceitful, I have chubbier cheeks and a bigger tummy than what the photo shows. Anyway, I am currently around 135 lbs (or more, I really don't know) with waistline down to just 30. Before I took steroids, I was 130 lbs with waistline 28. Point is... a lot of things have changed since 2003. And it's not just the looks. I am much more confident and happier where I am. Being a science major and the potential for a career in science was exciting to me. I had been training for it for around 9 years before I shifted gears, went home to Davao, studied Education, shifted gears yet again... and is now a writer. Online and offline. Even as a kid, I had wanted to be a writer. But life happened. I went to a science high school. Took up a course that excited me. I'm glad those things happened. But I'm happier I am where I am right now. Doing…

For Diyosa’s Better Productivity

Yes, I am obsessed with this gadget. As a multi-tasker who does a lot of different jobs and a girl interested in multiple hobbies, I think the Asus Eee PC T101 MT will increase my productivity. My fellow WordCamp Ph 2010 organizers and I had a meeting last weekend, and I kept on telling them and myself how easier it would be for us to coordinate if my netbook's screen could swivel like this... And imagine how much easier it would be for me to take down notes during a press conference, event, or while making a script for the TV show I am working for if I can do this: And oh, the orientation of the display can be turned vertical for easy reading of eBooks. And imagine how much easier it is to play games (*ehem*PLANTS vs ZOMBIES*ehem*) using the stylus instead of the mouse??? Hehe! Here's a video of more photos of the Asus Eee PC T101 MT: You agree this will make the Diyosa work (and play) better, yes? I hope you do coz I am definitely targetting this baby. ;-)

Invertebrates

I'm not so fond of insects and bugs but enjoy looking at macro hots, reverse macro shots and other photos of them. I find the colors delightful and the textures interesting. During the Davao Food Appreciation Tour 2010 (DFAT), the team visited Eden Nature Park, a popular mountain resort in Davao. During the day tour around the park, the team took shots of the colorful and interesting bugs and insects in the park. We even saw a couple of very big, hair-raising spiders. EW! But mostly, the invertebrates were interesting, colorful, and harmless. Here are some shots by Kuya Andrew: Nice noh? I might not be a fan of bugs and insects but I do like looking at them. From afar, in videos, and in still photos. :P Eden Nature Park is located at Eden Bayabas, Toril, Davao City. Their Sales and Reservations Office is at the Matina Town Square, McArthur Highway, Matina, Davao City. You may reach them at +6382-299020, +6382-2960791, +639189307590 and through info@edennaturepark.com.ph.

Pagbabago

Most people know me as the Diyosa Blogger, a multi-tasker, a professional blogger, as a lifestyle columnist, a writer, the girl who's up for anything anytime of the day, a poker player, the loud girl whom you should never anger, the girl who makes guys cry, kaladkarin, palaban, scary. I am known by a lot of things for a lot of different reasons, and those are mostly true. WERE mostly true. This was who I was... Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com. While I was not exactly the wildest party girl in town or the most adventurous person in the world, I had a crazy life. I lived alone, woke up around 11 am every day, went out to work online at coffee shops, attended events, went out on most nights, worked online at home, and slept at 5 am. I had multiple jobs, hang out with different groups of friends, had vices, and dated a number of guys. That was then. Now, this is where I live... Lookie, they're strapping me in... I don't actually live in an actual bubble now, but it seems like I am. For two reasons: I have to protect myself from the world…

Target Lock: Asus Eee PC T101 Multi-Touch

I'm not exactly the biggest technophile chick. I am big (LOL!) but I don't know a lot of the technical (aka nosebleed) aspects of gadgets and technology. But when I saw a multi-touch screen on a television show I wanted one. LIKE RIGHT AWAY! So I was happy, happy, happy when I heard from Asus Ph announced that this will be available in the Philippines SOON: It's the Asus Eee PC T101 Multi-Touch. AMAAAAZING?! Right?! Who else wants one? Rico aka Mr Technogra already had a good look at one of Asus' Eee Pads. Here are the specs and some photos and Rico's
