Amazed at Love

Brian and Aimee

I am amazed at how love works. Among the billions of people in this world, one person finds and chooses another. Who, in turn, finds and chooses him. Amazing!

Billions of people. Each unique. In seven continents. Separated by oceans. And yet people find each other.

Some, have known each other for a time and suddenly realize that they love each other. But others, through serendipity, forces of nature, and chance… Even when the odds are against them, they somehow find each other and choose to be together.

I find love, it’s oddities and complications, and everything in between very puzzling. A mystery. Perplexing and yet very inspiring.

Stories of friends, relatives, clients, and random strangers vary. From the simple to the epics. Each one different. But all of them end up somehow finding the one who is also looking for them.

Amazing!

  1. People only really choose from the very limited number of people they meet, not from the billions of people in the world. Some even choose during high school, when they’ve only met less than a thousand people, and personally know well less than 50 people (only half of which have their preferred gender for a partner). I’m not saying love is not amazing or complicated. It is. I even think the idea of meeting a very limited number of people makes choosing who you love even more interesting. Even more so for gay people, if what I’ve read that only 1% of people are gay, it’s even tougher for them.

  2. What’s more amazing is how our paths cross with these people that we meet or get to know. Among the billions of people, how did we end up where we are, going to the school we went to, doing the things we do.

And how, somehow, that factors in to the person we choose to love πŸ™‚

  3. ahhh… Ria, this article reminds me of the song GottA BeliEve in MAgiC. sooo much:-) Make it christian bautista version that it won’t be too obvious i’m so yesterday. hihihi…when you said, “I find love, it’s oddities and complications, and everything in between very puzzling. A mystery. Perplexing and yet very inspiring,” that made me think, perhaps, the song’s right. it’s MaGic when two people fall in love:-)

  4. the mysterious thing about love is that.

no matter what happens, whatever your partner’s past is, you will be willing to bare all things for him/her.
