Last year, I was nominated for several categories, but wasn’t even a finalist in any. I told myself, I’d be a finalist this year. And quickly forgot about that goal.
But lo and behold, this year, three of my blogs were finalists for various categories. One blog which I am part owner of was also a finalist, and was, in fact, up against my other blog. Six of my posts were also finalists. I submitted entries for two sponsor awards. That give me around 12 chances to win. But I didn’t win. NADA!
Nonetheless, I would like to thank the following people:
- my cousins Kuya Andrew who helped me get started in blogging, and who continues to help me with the technical stuff, and Gwing who has taken over one of my blogs;
- Ate Aileen who inspires me to be a better blogger and person;
- Tita Janette who gave me the chance to be an iBlog speaker;
- MLQ3 and the Filipino Voices bloggers who inspire me to be a more responsible and conscientious political blogger
- Avatar Media colleagues Migs, Winston, and Blogie;
- all my blog readers, friends, mga ka-link exchange, fans, followers, flamers, and HATERS who give me a good reason to either smile or laugh everyday;
- my blog sponsors, advertisers, and benefactors for giving me some reason to blog even when I don’t have the motivation or inspiration to blog;
- the Philippine Blog Awards 2008 organizers, sponsors, and volunteers who worked so hard, for free, without expecting anything in return just so they can serve and inspire the Philippine blogging community; and
- all the PBA 2008 nominees, finalists, and winners from whom I shall get inspiration to continue to be a better blogger.
I am happy. It has been a very remarkable blogging year for me. I have matured (IMHO) as a blogger and as a person. And in the process, I have experienced new things, learned new lessons, and got new friends (and foes). Here’s to hoping for a better, more productive, more fruitful blogging year not just for me, but for all Filipino bloggers. 😉
Again, congratulations to all the winners, the organizers, sponsors, and the volunteers!!! THANK YOU!
Kung meron mang hindi bitter ocampo, ikaw na yon!

Congrats on achieving this goal. It was a great experience for me as well. Just meeting, spending time and having good conversations with other Pinoy bloggers is a reward in itself for me.
But I should be bitter so that my minions shall kuyog all you guys, and tell me I’m akshully better than everybody, and that I shouldn’t feel bad that I lost. I SHOULD BE BITTER!!! GRAWRRR!
Ria Jose should have won!
Siya ang mas magaling sa lahat. Dapat siya ang nanalo… whahahaha…. baka ako ang kuyugin!
datapwat.. subalit…. Gayunpaman…
Ria Jose still remains the Queen Blogger of the South!
w00t! un-bitter ocampo!
Hi Ria. Congratulations also to you. I’ve witnessed how you “blossomed” since iBlog4. I’m sure you’ll go places girl. Stay cool and passionate in what you do and blog about. Cheers!
She continues to mature more as a blogger. She even has her own Tech Blog now (technomaria.com).
THANK YOU! 😀
Ria: That’s ok. Even if you didn’t win contragulations are still in order considering what you have achieved. 🙂
