An Interview

Finally, my cousin interviews me.

Andrew: I see that you’re not a very vain person. Do you think most women of our time have become too vain?

Ria: I think that there are women who are too vain. They think too much of themselves, the way they look, and the way people perceive them. There is really nothing bad about it, unless it becomes her top priority that it becomes a hindrance to other aspects of her life. Then again, a lot of men of our time have also become too vain. Vanity is not evil or bad per se, but as the cliche goes, a little or too much of something is never good.

Andrew: If you can stop time for an hour, what would you do?

Ria: If I can stop time for an hour, I’d probably gather all the people who have hurt me and push them all off the edge of a cliff. Seriously, I’d probably sleep, I don’t get enough of that.

Andrew: There’s a suitcase filled with a million dollars, and there’s a chance to fly to space presented to you. What would you choose?

Ria: I’d choose the suitcase filled with a million dollars. Invest it, and buy myself a chance to fly to space. Then again, I don’t think I’m brave enough to fly to space.

Andrew: Would you consider courting a man if you really liked him?

Ria: Only if I really, really, really like him, and I have a hint that he likes me too. It’s not a matter of being conservative for me. It’s that I’m afraid of rejection. NAAAKS NAMAN!

Andrew: Do you think marriage is overrated?

Ria: Yes and no. It is overrated in the sense that people think their lives are not complete without it. It is not overrated, because I think IF one does find that person to marry, then they should get married and live up to that commitment, NO MATTER WHAT. It is definitely not something to be taken lightly. One should enter that commitment IF both parties are willing to take that chance together and stick with it and be faithful to it.

Hirap nun ha… Napaisip ako!!!
