About a month ago, I watched a 3 vs 3 mirrormatch game with Barathrum, Alchemist and Drow Ranger as the heroes… and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As in!!! Then, about a week ago, I saw another 3 vs 3 mirrormatch game with Krobelus, Lich King and Barathrum (again). It was so surprising to watch how a relatively better team lost against a supposedly inferior team. The “inferior” team won through a clever strategy which even entailed sort of copying part of the other team’s strategy. Haha!!! Moreover, the inferior team had a very, very, very superior Lich King who bullied the other Lich King. Also the “inferior” team players seemed to know the perfect time to Charge, Silence and Chain Frost the other team. Thus… the supposedly inferior team won.

Last Friday, my cousins — Andrew and Gwing — and I played against each other with our other DoTA friends — Jan Jan, Dodong, Abdul, Dino, and Seth — played a 4 vs 4 mirrormatch game. It was I, Dino, Seth, Dodong on one team, the rest on the other team. All I could remember was I and Jan Jan were Pugna, Gwing was Omniknight, and Andrew was Gondar. Early on, my team was able to push well. But my teammates didn’t pay much attention to Andrew so he was able to get really good items, and their team ended up winning. 🙁 But it was a great game since both teams wre already destroying each other’s towers when it ended. It’s just that they were able to destroy ours first.

Last night, my DoTA friends and I played a 5 vs 5 mirrormatch game. It was me, Aiwem, Brylle, Seth, and Dodong on my team. Then, Jan jan was on the other team with four of Aiwem’s friends. My hero was Naix the Lifestealer, which I used for the first time since nobody wanted to swap with me and it was not possible to repick. Aiwem had Enigma, Brylle had Phantom Assasin, Seth had Vengeful, and Dodong had Terrorblade. I was sooo ignorant of Naix and his skills that Brylle and Seth mocked me most of the time. But I had a lot of fun with Naix. It was a fun, fun game. And I even got to bully the other Naix a bit. I was able to kill twice. HAHA! Since our team members were already used to playing with each other, we were able to synergize. We got really good items and we pushed everytime had the chance to. Fortunately for us, I didn’t suck as Naix so there wasn’t really a weak link in the team. Needless to say, WE WON! YEY!!! 😀

I hope we’ll play more mirrormatches in the coming days. 😉
