Davao's Usual Suspects Kuya Andrew, Blogie, Dennis, Jun and I, once again had the privilege of being the Google Country Consultant's official Davao GROs. We met up with her last August 7 at the Casa Leticia for dinner at Sagay and chismis bonding. Marc wasn't around though. Later that night, when Jun and Dennis already left, we each opened our laptops, settled into our corners and had a YM conference with each other, joined by our young victims blogger friends Jez and Winston. Yesterday, Kuya Andrew, Blogie, Marc and I again met up with Ate Aileen (blame the kids for that) for lunch at Boyd's. After which, we went to Bruegger's at nearby Wheels n More Drive. It was a fun, fun, fun night and lunch with the guys and Aileen which didn't (for once) involve work. It did for Aileen though coz she had to finish some stuff, but not for the rest of us. Aileen is now back in Manila en route to somewhere else. Come back soon Ate Aileen!!! :D

Snapshot of Me
A lot of people (ehem*guys*ehem) I have met recently told me I look different in person compared to my friendster, YM, multiply pictures. And it's because I almost always look harassed AND stressed in person. GRRR... The picture of me above was taken by Blogie last night over at Casa Leticia where we had a meet-up with the Google Country Consultant. I think it's one of the most truthful pictures of me... in the photo, I look very much harassed, stressed and disheveled, but I'm smiling. Right now, I am oftentimes too busy for my own good, bothered by problems, and preoccupied with many issues... but I am happy. For once, I am truly, truly happy.
Can't We Be Just Friends?
Two weird incidents tonight: Again I was with J. A girl (G) approached us... G: Girlfriend mo? J and RJ: NO! And again with A... A: So you're courting RJ? J: HUH? A: Actually, I thought she was your girlfriend already. ANUH? >_< Can't a single guy and a single girl be just friends? Ya know... hang out, eat dinner together without them being more than just friends? Most of my friends are guys. You see, when I was in high school, there were only five of us girls in the classroom. And there were 22 guys. THE HELL! THE HORROR!!! It was not an all together pleasurable experience but it shaped who I am today. And today, most of my friends are guys because most of my interests are things guys are interested in. For one, I love fantasy, action, sci-fi movies and other stuff (not Star Trek though). I can quote lines from Lord of the Rings, the Star Wars Trilogy, and the X-Men Trilogy. "Why do you ask questions to which you already know the answer?" Then, of course, most of the people I hang out nowadays are guys I met through DotA. All of them, save…
Something made me happy today…
I was eating dinner with a guy friend of mine (J) and his other friend (A). J: Do you know each other na? A this is RJ, RJ this is A. RJ: He looks familiar. Did you go to (name of high school)? A: Yes. RJ: I know you. A: Ohhh... so you're one batch younger than me? RJ: NO! I'm three batches older than you! A: I though you were younger than me. LOL!!! ALAVET!!! :D
Trying to Lose 10 Pounds
As of this summer, I have already lost 20 pounds. Other people actually noticed the weight loss before I did probably because I didn't exert any effort or do anything special to lose that amount of weight. I lost weight because of the terrible, terrible, terrible amount of work I do. That translates to little time for eating, sleeping and resting and an insurmountable amount of stress. I think the only weight I gained all gathered under my eyes to form eye bags. :( Now I am trying to lose ten more pounds to reach my ideal weight. I actually want to lose twenty more but my cousins say I would look unhealthy already. So right now, Kuya Andrew are having a bet. The person who loses 10 pounds faster will be treated to dinner by the loser. My strategy? Work, work, work. When I work, I don't have enough energy and motivation to eat. Yesterday, it took me two hours to finish a small meal just because I was very busy. And right now, it's taking me a long time to eat a plate of delicious (but not fattening) pasta here at Kasagingan. I also plan to lose weight…
