Sequel Juan Luna Boys

Clockwise from left: Shad, Toti, Papi, Gibb, Aiwem Been hanging out at another cafe with other people lately. So when some of the Sequel Juan Luna (SJL) boys started making tampo that I haven't been to SJL, I started feeling guilty. So on the eve of my cousin Luan's birthday, we played there. We went back again the next day. I hang out with the boys playing and drinking until early morning. Yesterday, I went back to watch their match game, and to hang out with them while they had a drinking session. I realized... nakaka-miss rin pala yung mga mokong na yun!!! So, as part of my I miss you boys, ito ang pampabawi ko... here's some pictures of us together these past few days. The Usual Suspects Meet Jun Asis

Dominic, Ria, Blogie, Andrew, and Jun Asis Last night, the Usual Suspects met up with Jun Asis of Magandang Balita. Jun was in Davao City for some work-related stuff. Kuya Andrew and I were the first ones at Spro Coffee Shop (the coffee shopp with its own blog). We saw Jun happily availing of the free WiFi. Hehe... Then, Jun arrived, followed by Dominic, and Blogie. We played a quick (but annoying) round of Uno. I almost lost but didn't. Jun A lost. HAHA! Sorry Jun, I hate losing. That's me in the picture frowning because Jun won when it could have been me. :( Dominic also brought his World of Warcraft Card Game Set which made me jealous... very, very jealous. I want to have a set for the sake of having one. HAHA! Also at Spro was Ayeza of Bisaya Bloggers, whom I met for the very first time. But it was a brief encounter as she was with other people that time. Kuya Andrew and I had to leave early though as we had to go to yet another family thing.

Impromptu Reunion at Kasagingan

I haven't gotten out of bed the entire day because I haven't been feeling well. Consequently, I haven't eaten any meals. So before settling in to work at Kasagingan, I went to Taps to order some Tosilog. The moment I sat on the stool, somebody sat beside me and grabbed my flab. HUH?! It was one of my closest friends from high school, Neil. After eating my Tosilog, I sat with him and his friends over at Kasagingan's smoking area. After a while, Wenna came in with her sister and her sister's friend. Wenna is another high school batchmate of ours. Although we were never classmates, I consider her one of my trusted friends. After chatting with Neil and his friends, I went inside to start working. After an hour or so, I noticed Neil talking to some people outside. It was two of our high school classmates/friends, Bibert and Bbboy. It was a reunion of sorts. We didn't really sit with each other to bond but seeing them already gave me that "warm fuzzy feeling" Ate Aileen always talks about. I feel better already. :D

Heroes Seson 2 on September 24!

It is human nature to look to the past... to the road we have traveled... to what has so far defined us... but only by leaving our past behind can we then push onward into an unknown tomorrow... into the dawn of a new future... into the light of a new beginning. Excited ka na ba? Ako super excited na!!! RAWRRR! Warm, fuzzy feeling... :D

Is it Acceptable to Diss Differently-Abled Persons?

I am now at a local cafe, drinking tea and enjoying free WiFi while working online. There's a group of people here who are unabashedly and shamelessly dissing differently-abled people out loud. They are mimicking the way people with a cleft palate talk. And it's really disturbing to hear them laugh out loud and make fun of the differently-abled. I'm no saint and I must have, at some point in my life, made fun of them too. But at this point in my life, I don't think that doing so is acceptable and tolerable. Do you?
