FoodSpotting in Boracay

Have you ever wandered off to an unknown place and thought... "how would I know where to go? Where should I eat? WHAT should I eat?" FoodSpotting Boracay Map Various social media apps and sites would be helpful for tourists or traveling businessmen. Some of these are Fouraquare and Trip Advisor. A lot of social media savvy people get a helpful travel tips from these apps. My favorite among these apps is FoodSpotting. Why? Because my favorite thing to do is eat. During our recent family vacation to Boracay, some of us already had a few restaurants in mind. And Google was also very helpful in suggesting restaurants. The problem really was in knowing what dishes to order from those restaurants. This is where FoodSpotting is helpful. Check out the FoodSpotting map of Boracay above. And this one below that screen captured from the FoodSpotting Android App, using my Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini: FoodSpotting Android App Boracay Map FoodSpotting doesn't just recommend restaurants, it recommends dishes. FoodSpotting not only recommends restaurants, it also recommends dishes. It gives users the opportunity to recommend specific dishes in restaurants by uploading a photo the dish, naming it, naming where it can be ordered…

Through The Fire

It's done and over with. I, along with several other hard-working members of the organization have been unceremoniously kicked out. When I joined JCI Davaoena Daba Daba, I had one goal: to challenge myself. And what a challenge it has been. From being a new member to a Deputy member of the Board of the Directors to being appointed as Secretary-General, National Chair, and Area Director. There is so much that can be said about the struggles I have been through as a member. So much intrigue, so much mud-slinging and character assassination has been done to discredit me. I have tried to rise above it all as I stood by my commitment as a JCI Member. I would like to believe that I have performed my duties to the best of my abilities keeping in mind that my goal was to challenge myself. And I don't regret any of it, as I was able to work with and be with some of the best people I could have never met had it not been for JCI. Despite all of the mud thrown at us, we kept our silence, we chose the higher ground. We refused to fight but instead…

Being Blonde and Being Bold

Ria Jose as a BlondeHair by Envy Me Salon I have to be honest, I went blonde because I caved in to peer pressure. Lelz! The moment I saw four of my friends go blonde and they didn't look bad at all... I decided I'd go for it and that the Nicki Minaj Concert would be the best alibi for it. I had about one week to think about it but decided that since I had declared I would do it, I had to do it. With my fingers crossed, I went blonde. It wasn't really something I was comfortable about. And until now, I must admit I'm not to confident about it. But I like it. I like how, at 30 years old, I am still able to go beyond my comfort zone and do something outrageous. Not as outrageous as some people would think but for me going blonde is a bold step. Being the vain person that I am, going blonde means sticking out, and not always in a good way. Some people actually tease me that I look darker or that I look weird. It took a while for my daddy absorb that I actually dyed…

A Very Belated 30th Year Post

In the past few years, I'd usually publish some blog posts around the time of my birthday recalling events and memories from the past year. I have neglected to do this in honor of my 30th birthday. BOO TO ME! Weeks before my grand 30th birthday, I have already planned to make a video instead of blog posts since I had such a hectic, fun, and super busy year leading up to my 30th birthday. So here it is... To my family and friends, thank you for another memorable year! I won't be able to name all of you since there's so plenty of you. Most of you are in the video... some of you are not. But I love you all dearly, nonetheless. Yes, even the critics, haters, and stressors. And thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful birthday, even though it was spent working! ;) Looking forward to more than 525,600 minutes filled with memories, lessons, laughter, tears, and love with all of you. Live. Love. Learn.

Paris France

Dreaming of Paris

It is, perhaps, the dream of every hopeless romantic to go to France and fall hopelessly in love with a stranger. Me, however, I dream of going to Paris to drink wine, eat Boeuf Bourguinon, and gorge on petit four. Paris is such a far off land, which I only get to watch on films and television shows. I hear about it in songs and read about it in novels, poems, and articles. For a lot of people, it is the place where art takes flight, where fashion takes center stage, and where people so carelessly demonstrate their passion... be it for food, the arts, or their special someone. It is a place where dreamers dream to go so that their dreams can turn into reality. I was recently bitten by the travel bug and Paris, France is definitely now on my list of places to visit. (Along with the rest of the Philippines, Southeast Asia, Japan, Greece, and Italy.) I want to find place to rent in Paris and just take in all the culture, arts, and food it has to offer. As in most European cities, there are a lot of apartment rentals in Paris France and I…
