Davao Bloggers' Christmas Party
Come party with us as we launch Avatar Media, elect the Davao Bloggers' Society Officers, and celebrate birth of Firefox and Christmas. The party will be held on December 4, 2009, Friday, 7 pm, at the Mam Bebs Bakery at the First Floor of the CVA Building, CM Recto Street, Davao City. We are requesting a fee of P200 to cover food, drinks, entertainment, and other logistics. Food will be prepared by Mam Bebs and Kusina Maria. Food will include Pancit Palabok, Breaded Pork Cutlets, Cheese Sticks, Nachos and Salsa, Chicken Wings, and Assorted Pastries. Softdrinks and beer will be served. Lachi's Sansrival, Atbpis also sponsoring yummy pastries. :) A videoke machine will be on hand so we can all practice our being Pinoy by singing to our heart’s content. I Want to be a Celebrity Poker Player
Hello there! I have a new dream... to be a celebrity poker player. Why? Because I know I know I'm a pretty good poker player but don't have enough bankroll and not enough time to invest to become a really good professional poker player. But I do want to play in the big tournaments. How you ask? By being a celebrity poker player. Why? You ask again. Because I am really poker enthusiast, and I even blog about it. How much more enthusiastic can one be? I actually work for two poker clubs. Simultaneously. Another reason why I want to be a celebrity poker player? Endorsements. Endorsements = money = bankroll. Also schwag... HEHE! Tignan niyo naman... I'm not bad looking, right? And I have quite a good following via my blogs and I am a very active social media user... Twitter, Facebook, Plurk, YouTube... name it, I have an account which I actively use. So if you're my sponsor, you get more than enough mileage. LOL! Plus, I'm a girl. A girl with big boobs. I have been inactive as an organizer for the following events of the organization: DFAT 2009, WordCamp Davao 2009, WordCamp Philippines 2009, and Mindanao Bloggers’ Summit 2009 for professional reasons. While I still share the advocacy and ideals with which the organization was founded upon, I feel that it is no longer possible for me to work with the organization. I, however, shall continue promoting Mindanao and its peoples through my blogs and other works.
Julie and Julia… and Me
Just came from watching Julie & Julia, based on the book with the same title by Julie Powell. Needless to say, I love it. It's not about cooking and baking. But love and passion. I can so totally relate to the movie... with cooking, baking, and blogging all in one movie. But I'm sure a lot of people will also love it and can relate to it. Both Julia Child (Meryl Streep) and Julie Powell (Amy Adams) both dedicated themselves to cooking not for the sake of cooking, but because of love. They were both passionate about different things. While focused on different things, their passions brought them to food and cooking. I share their passion. Passion to cook and bake, to serve the best there is to the people who matter to me. I've been told (more than once, sad to say) that I am addicted to baking and cooking. And I am. I am addicted to making the delicious pastries and meals. And I am passionate about writing and blogging, as well. And I was able to relate to Julie saying that she might have ADD. Coz I feel like I am like that sometimes. Interested and wanting…
Globe One Youth Headshot Clinic Davao
Months ago, I went to the Globe One Youth Headshot Clinic here in Davao City. And few days ago, the photos from the clinic were published... I went with my cousins, Kuya Andrew and Gwing, and Chattee. Here are their headshots... Hmmm... I think Kuya Andrew has the fiercest headshot. Chattee and Gwing both have nice usable ones. Mine seems... perky? Nice though. Wish I had skin as smooth and silky as the one on the photo. :P
