What Have I Been Up To?

I know, I know. My personal blog *ehem*THIS ONE*ehem* has been quite boring. I haven't been all emo and angsty. And I haven't been really excited about anything either. Not that my life is boring. On the contrary, my life has been very HECTIC. For one, I have been building my own business. It's a consultancy and events firm. Initially, it was formed to accommodate the consultancy work I have been doing, and to market some IT events here in Davao City. Luckily, somebody mistakenly finally asked me to be a co-coordinator of their wedding. I have been waiting for this chance. While it is very stressful, I find it very exciting and fulfilling. So now, I am focusing on promoting and providing customized wedding coordination services, and I have been getting a lot of inquiries. I already have my first real client. YEY! Somebody also hired me to be their wedding reception's emcee. So again, YEY! And I've been promoting my new business via my blog, and I have just earned my very first cents from it. LOL! Another thing I've been busy with giving talks. So far, I have been to Marbel to talk about Internet Marketing and…

A Whole New World

After I attended a two-day bread making class at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies, I found acquired an appreciation for chefs, and their work. I especially admired Chef Jun-jun who generously and most patiently shared his knowledge with baking newbies me and Kuya Andrew. That is why I am happy to see him now... online... as a blogger! Chef Jun-jun de Guzman, a teacher at the CACS now has his very own blog entitled Chefie's World. While he already has columns in a daily and some food magazines, Chef Jun-jun has always been interested in blogging. Through Chefie's World, Chef Jun-jun would like to share some tidbits about himself, personal experiences with food, in the kitchen, and around the world. He is also ready to take your culinary questions and inquiries. And explore the art and science behind cooking and baking. So head on over to http://www.chefjunjun.com and taste a whole new world of culinary experiences.

Goal: Lose 15 Pounds

I've been binging the past few days. I have just realized that I eat too much when I do a lot of things. I am going to be a bridesmaid at a wedding at the end of February. THIS! IS! NOT! GOOD! I have to lose at least 10 pounds before the wedding, and 5 more after it. Hmmm.... Suggestions?

Mc Donald's Double Cheeseburger

McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger

Last night, I got intrigued and tried out for the first time, Mc Donald's Double Cheeseburger. I was overwhelmed. There were double patties, cheese slices, and servings of onions (ew!). I had a hard time taking out the onions. The patties were kinda dry and just tasted salty. The entire thing was too much for me, but I know a lot of people who enjoy it. I loved the cheese though. Heh! Maybe I'm just not the Double Cheeseburger kind of girl. To order McDonald's food online (in the Philippines), go to their 8McDo Site. This is NOT a paid post.

A Happy, Happy New Year at Eden Nature Park

For the second time, our family spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at Eden Nature Park and we had a grand time. Last year, me and my cousins were kinda resistant to the idea thinking it would be a hassle to spend it in a resort with tons of other people. You see we usually spend it at Lola's house with just the family. But we were proven wrong as we had a lot of fun during the countdown. In fact some of my titos and titas danced wantonly on the dance floor while us nephews and nieces spent time in the sidelines. HAHA! Anyway, we spent it at Eden again this year. And it was fun. I rode with Kuya Andrew's family and we arrived there at around 3 pm and immediately had snacks. I had the Ham and Cheese Sandwich. It was ok. I heard that the Turon and the Cheeseburger were really good though. I was assigned to room Gardenia 5. Since I was not feeling well, I spent the afternoon sleeping. Wawa me... While my cousins went to the fishing village to fish for tilapia. Wawa rin mga tilapia... they died and were eaten!…
