Addicted to Frozen Yoghurt

Intense Chocolate During my last trip to Manila, my cousins and I went to Amara in Serendra at The Fort twice. Both times, my cousins were craving for frozen yoghurt. Amara's Intense Chocolate did not disappoint at all. It was like frozen native chocolate. We also got to try Mango and Chocolate. Chocolate was kinda blah and boring compared to the Intense Chocolate. Mango was a good alternative if you do not feel like having chocolate. Mango and Chocolate I am not addicted to frozen yoghurt. But my cousin, Tinky is. She kept on bugging us to find more yoghurt places. But since we'd always go out late, we always ended up at Amara. And she was happy with that. Tinky thinks Amara sources its frozen yoghurt from a supplier also sells at the Salcedo Market. Tinky enjoying her Intense Dark Frozen Yoghurt If you know of other good frozen yoghurt places or stores in Metro Manila, do comment here for her. (I'm blogging on her behalf right now, but do watch out for her own blog soon.) Kuya Andrew, Tinky, her boyfriend Allan, and me

There's a Bunny in My Coffee

It's so cute, no? It's the cappuccino here at the Kangaroo Coffee Company where I'm working online using their free WiFi connection. Pardon the imperfect right cheek of the bunny I stabbed it with a stirrer before I thought of taking a photo of it. The Kangaroo Coffee Company is located along Tiongco Street in Davao City. Banana Leaf Asian Cafe Food Trip

4 appetizers 1 soup 9 viands 2 noodle dishes 2 rice dishes 4 desserts TOO MUCH? DEFINITELY! Singaporean Style Prawn Toast That's how much food were served to us when we visited the Banana Leaf Asian Cafe earlier this evening. Of course, we started off with appetizers. My favorite among which was the Singaporean Style Prawn Toast. Mainly because there were sesame seeds on top. White and black! YUMMY! It was a bit greasy but I didn't mind. I also likes the Roti Dog with Mango and Curry Sauce. The curry sauce was a bit mustard-y. Another hit was the Vietnamese Prawn Ball with CHEESE. Shrimp Wanton Soup with Curry Laksa Then we had the Shrimp Wanton Soup with Curry Laksa. It was a bit spicy, with a tinge of sourness which I absolutely loved. The soup was a bit creamy yet very thin and light. The shrimp wantons were also very tasty. Then, dish after dish after dish of viands, rice, and noodles were brought out and served. GRAWRRR! There was pork, beef, chicken, fish, squid, and vegetables. My favorites were the Wok Fried Squid with Basil, the Malayan Beef Curry, and the Macau Style Baked Mixed Vegetables. Sweet…

Dieting Notes

I am a food. I love food so much I can watch the Lifestyle Network Channel for hours. I can even watch a Food show episode over and over again and still find it interesting. I LOVE FOOD! But my quest for a better wardrobe and boy(S) is now forcing me to diet. Week one was quite a success, mostly because I kept my wallet in a poor state and I stayed away from my cousin who also loves food. Week 2, however, was one big monumental legendary epic fail. I pigged out! A LOT! :( I am now on week 3 and day one, yesterday was quite a success. Today is day 2, and I have been good in eating much less rice. I'm now down to a quarter cup of rice per meal. I only eat two full meals per day. And I don't snack as much anymore. I just came from the grocery and bought two snacking substitutes: Chocolate Milk instead of chocolate bars and candies, and corn flakes instead of chips. Good thing I also like those two things or I wouldn't survive. I have also lessened my coffee intake and is now drinking tea more.…

Dear Nescafe

Dear Nescafe, There's no doubt I like your coffee. In fact, I am in love with your Nescafe Classic First Pick, I bought bottles to last me a year so I could have it even during the months when First Pick isn't available on the grocery shelves anymore. But why is it your flavored coffees, even the supposedly healthy ones only come in three-in-one sachets? Fine, I could take a some sugar and cream in my coffee occasionally. But why is it those packs contain more sugar than actual coffee? They're too sweet. I'm pointing out these four that I tried: Nescafe Body Partner Lingzhi Nescafe Body Partner Fit Nescafe 3-in-1 Hazelnutz Nescafe 3-in-1 Choco Fudge I love my coffee bitter and dark. But I also want it healthy and flavored sometimes, but never too sweet. Here's my suggestion: lessen the sugar in your 3-in-1 packs. Those who want their coffee sweet can pour extra sugar if they want, right? But us who want dark can't take out the excess sugar. :( I hope that at least the Body Fit coffee sachets do away with the sugar, or less of it. Love lots, Ria :D
