My Christmas Wishlist

Of course I want peace, serenity, and contentment and all those other altruistic things. Here are some more attainable things I would like to have this Christmas: Any black bag big enough to for all my things to fit in. It should be sturdy enough because this is a bag that I will be bringing to work everyday. A Moleskine Red Diary so I could keep track of all my appointments, deadlines, and other important dates. Any iPod model. I want to have an iPod for all those boring monotonous days and nights I spend staring at my stark ceiling and to keep me company while I work. A Sony Cybershot Camera Phone, or any good camera phone that I can use for blogging purposes so that I wouldn't be too dependent on other people's cameras anymore. A gym membership. LOL! This would really force me to shape up. A free class at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies here in Davao City. Free meal at Lachi's, De Bonte Koe, Tsuru, Swiss Deli, and all the other yummy restaurants here in Davao City. A vacation in Palawan or Boracay. Comfortable Havaianas in metallic silver or gold. And for less materialistic…

Online Manito – Manita System

Every Christmas, us maternal cousins have the traditional bunot-bunot. There's 25 of us and it's quite expensive to buy gifts for each other. Since some of us are already based in Manila, the Kuya Andrew made a way for us to pick our manitos without having proxies. We used to have proxies for picking but this always led to arguments. HAHA! Last year and this year, Kuya had us all log in to http://www.alleba.com/manito, where we would see this... We would then key in our randomly assigned key code that we each received via email. After our code is confirmed, we'd press shake.... Nice, right??? The best feature of the entire thing, me thinks... is we get to make our own wishlist!!! So no more unwanted scented candles, picture frames, mugs, etc. Last year, I received a nice book from Kuya Jofer. Sana this year... may magbigay ng Moleskine. :D O diba??? Meron kayo niyan? :D

My Family Featured in the Local Newspaper

A few weeks back, we celebrated the birthday of my maternal grandaunt, Tia Alot's 80th birthday. It was a grand celebration held at the Marco Polo Hotel. All of us girls were FORCED to wear dresses while most of the guys wore their best "smart casual" attires. A few days ago, a local daily had a full page feature in the event. And there was a picture of our family, the Abella Family, to accompany the article. Click on the photo to see the full-sized pic. Kuya Andrew and Gwing are also in the photo. Can you spot us? Oh, diba? Bongga! AHAHA!

Going out Tonight

My oldest nephew, Dave, is here from abroad and the Jose Family is having dinner at Harana Restaurant tonight. Then, my cousins and I are taking out Dave for drinks and more. YEY!!! Tonight is one of those few moments this coming days that I will be able to get away from work and everything related to work. Hopefully, we'll have fun.

Fabulous!

Coz I rarely wear a dress or anything girly, I think Tia Alot's Birthday Extravaganza at the Marco Polo last week deserves a post. Here are some fabulous pictures of me and my cousins who were all forced to dress up for the event... Me Chian and I plotting which city CORPO will conquer next. Me and cutie pie Anyssa who was in a good mood. Tinky the super late comer, Me, and Kuya Andrew Gwing, Kuya, and Me DotA Princesses: Me, Gwing, and Luan Me, Gwing, and Luan doing our FEELING SUPERSTAR POSE!
