Visiting Work Sites [March 20 Video Diary]

Another day working with my cousins. We ate. A LOT. Some coffee. And visited multiple work sites in the Matina and Maa area.

Biryani House

First, I met up with my cousins and we had late lunch at Biryani House. It was my first time there and I was happy we decided to eat there. I ordered the Chicken Biryani and requested for mild spiciness. It was a bit too spicy for me but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was not a flat and boring kind of spiciness. We also had the Cheese Sambosa and I got to try the Butter Chicken Masala that my cousin ordered. Also, really good. Want to go back there again soon.

Kotetsu

Next, we decided to have coffee at Kotetsu by Wood and Coffee. They are the downtown branch of Wood and Coffee which we had previously visited during my first Cafe Hopping Video Diary. This time, I ordered the Iced Oat Spanish Latte. Yes, Spanish Latte has been my favorite go-to iced coffee lately. Theirs was good. There was a good balance of coffee bitterness which I love, milkiness, and sweetness. I convinced my cousin to try the Mugwort because I wanted to take a photo of it. I got a sip of that and I do want to order that next time.

Nishlan

We dropped by Nishlan in front of Kotetsu. It is a local food store selling imported candy and chocolates at affordable prices. They also have savory snacks and even Korean ramyeon.

Work Sites

Then, came the work part. You might be wondering what type of work I do at these work sites. (Or not.) I work as a freelance social media strategist and marketing and events consultant. And I sorta kinda work with these projects as a consultant or strategist. Kayo na lang mag-assume.

Limaria

The first of the work sites we went to was Limaria in Maa. It was still under construction back then. Right now, there are a few establishments already open: Dani’s Palace Shawarma, Barracks Barbers and Shaves, Duo Dental Clinic, and Cafe Stay. They are located right outside Like the Limaria FB Page for more info: link.

Tio Noning’s

The next one is our grandparents’ home. It was being renovated for repurposing. It is currently being used as and events place. The place is called Tio Noning’s located at Juna Avenue in Juna Subdivision.

Three Yards

Lastly, we visited Three Yards. It is located along Casiana VA Road in the Tulip Drive area. The establishments at Three Yards will open soon along with an events hall. For updates, like the Three Yards FB Page: link.

Ku Nan Yang

Finally, we had dinner at Ku Nan Yang. My cousin and I shared a Lemak Nenas which is a Shrimp Curry dish. It was ok. A bit too spicy for me.

I had a fun time hanging out with my friends and trying the food at Mamz’s Cafe.

Do you have suggestions or recommendations for us? We would love to try new things, discover underrated food spots. And taste unique dishes.
