This vlog is a bit different because I am not with my cousins and this was absolutely not work-related. My friends and I met up at an Obrero cafe.
Obrero Cafe: Mamz’s Recipe
My friends and I have not hung out since 2019. That’s 5 years. We agreed to meet up at Mamz’s Recipe, an Obrero cafe since most of us live in the northern area of Davao. One of our friends own the cafe. We have seen this business grow from home-based shop selling pizza bread at bazaars to their own bakery and cafe. It was a nice full circle moment.
I ordered their Smoked Pork Belly Rice Bowl as my late lunch. It was a filling and satisfying bowl. Next, I tried their Java Special Iced Coffee which was sweet and rich. My friend treated us to a Chocolate Mousse Cake which made my chocoholic heart happy. It was rich and decadent. Definitely, a must-try.
Aside from the food, I enjoyed catching up with my friends. We should meet up more often.
Mamz’s Recipe is located along Palma Gil Street in Obrero.
Sari sari Ph
After the tambay session, I went to Sari Sari Ph which is just a few streets away from Mamz’s. I browsed through the stuff in the store. And I bough some cute items. Including one Blind Bag from crt.ie.

I had a fun time hanging out with my friends and trying the food at Mamz’s Cafe.
Do you have suggestions or recommendations for us? We would love to try new things, discover underrated food spots. And taste unique dishes.
