Matcha, Tacos, and Biryani [March 24 Video Diary]

Working and eating day again. Day started with matcha. As with many other work days and non-work days, as you will see in future video diaries. Plus, tacos and biryani again.

Filmed: March 24, 2024

Matcha

We started the day with a brief meeting at &matcha. I’m not really a matcha fan so I had an Espresso Oatmilk Latte. Their coffee menu is limited to a few items but all are good. My favorite are their Apo beans coffee.

If you are a matcha lover, you can know more about &matcha and other matcha bars in Davao, read this Best Matcha in Davao feature.

Tacos by Dirty Sanchez

I convinced my cousin to go to Dirty Sanchez. I love their Birria Tacos but have only tried it via Grab. Their place is just a takeout counter by the road with a few outdoor tables where you can eat. We ordered Birria Tacos to share. My cousin liked the tacos but I ended up just taking home my tacos. Loved it. But would have loved it more if I had eaten it hot right there.

I heard they have since opened to dine in locations at MTS and at Catalunan Pequeño. Hope to try dining in there soon.

Dulce Desserts

We had sweets treats at Dulce Desserts. I opted for a Chocolate Chip Cookie while my cousin got a Gianduja. Both we really good. And I recommend both.

Dulce Desserts Davao is located at CT Drive along Tulip Drive. They also have a store in Tagum.

Biryani House

We met up with our cousins at Matina Town Square for dinner. But most of the places we wanted to try were full so we decided to transfer and have dinner at Biryani House. This time, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was spicy but the good kind of spice I love. It is served with their soft, soft, soft flat bread which I cannot get enough of. Need to go back soon.

They are located along Ecowest Drive.

It was another day of eating, some work, and even more eating. As most days are.

Do you have suggestions or recommendations for us? We would love to try new things, discover underrated food spots. And taste unique dishes.
