Dear Love

03/05/2019 Dear Love, I have been meaning to write this for quite a while now. I think this letters to no one thing will be my thing now. It certainly feels like it's what I should do. For me. And maybe for you, too. If you exist. Somewhere. Maybe in the future. But really, I think this is good for me. Anyway, I have not been feeling myself for a few weeks now. Not sad or lonely. More like tired and uninspired. I have so many things to do. So many ideas to put into action. A to-do list like I never had. And I know I should just move forward and do. Act. Not be frozen by my feelings. Mind you, I have also scheduled lots of me time. I have taken rest days. Sometimes 2 days at a time. But somehow it is just not enough. I do not know. Maybe I am just really tired or need something new or exciting to spark something in me. Thing is... there are so many new and exciting things coming my way. So much new adventures (online and offline) that I am working on. And I know that I should…

Dear Love

02/06/2019 Dear Love, It's February. When it's February, I usually do this thing... do a podcast or make a vlog series. I was going to do Vloglentines this year again but I could not. Then I thought maybe I should just do what I feel is easy. You see I was never really good at relationships or commitments. But I was always good at one thing: writing love letters. Maybe because I didn't always have anybody to really talk to. Not that I did not have friends. But somehow I always found it easier to share my thoughts by writing. In journals. In personal essays. Even in school projects. In high school, I would be so busy in February. I wrote love letters. Not just for my crush but for other people. I wrote love letters that my friends would send to their girlfriends or to their crushes or to the girls they are courting. Often, I'd ask them what they want to say. Then, I would take a sheet from my stationery collection. And write as beautifully as I could. Sometimes, they would not even tell me what to write. I just wrote whatever I thought would put a…

Entering Jurassic Park

A few days ago, I posted this on my Ria Jose Facebook Page: I created the post in celebration of #ScienceFictionDay. But it also gave me soooo many memories. As far as I can remember, Jurassic Park was the film that piqued my interest in the sci-fi genre. First Cinema Experience Interestingly, my first memory of watching a film in the cinema was another sci-fi film. All I remember was it was a King Kong film and the first scene I remember was King Kong in a some sort of hospital bed or operating table. Via Google Search, I recently found out that this movie was "King Kong Lives." King Kong Lives Movie Poster According to Wikipedia, it was released in 1986. I was around 4 years old in 1986 but I am not too sure if the film was released in our city on the same year or if my memory is accurate. I did enjoy that movie and many other sci-fi movies like ET, Batteries Not Included, Back to the Future, and even Robocop. But I was not particularly attached or fascinated by these films. Entering Jurassic Park Sometime in the early 1990s, I saw the trailer for…
