My Family Featured in the Local Newspaper

A few weeks back, we celebrated the birthday of my maternal grandaunt, Tia Alot's 80th birthday. It was a grand celebration held at the Marco Polo Hotel. All of us girls were FORCED to wear dresses while most of the guys wore their best "smart casual" attires. A few days ago, a local daily had a full page feature in the event. And there was a picture of our family, the Abella Family, to accompany the article. Click on the photo to see the full-sized pic. Kuya Andrew and Gwing are also in the photo. Can you spot us? Oh, diba? Bongga! AHAHA!

Saan Na Nga Ba'ng Barkada?

When I saw this on TV weeks ago... I remembered and missed these guys... HUHU! The song is Saan Na Nga Ba'ng Barkada originally by the Apo Hiking Society sung by Spongecola. The guys in the picture are some of my classmates in PSHS-MC Batch '99 Technology Stream. We were classmates from second to fourth year high school. If you're looking for somebody to blame for my boyish ways... blame them. HAHA! When I first saw my name along with theirs lumped in one section, I cried. Seriously... I cried. I was in the section with five other girls with twenty-four boys. ARGH! I hated boys and their annoying ways back then. But as time passed by, I developed a weird kind of fondness for them as if they were my brothers. Some of them were my kuyas, but most of them were my little brothers whose assignments, projects, and even love letters I had to do for. High school was a wild, wild, wild rollercoaster ride of emotions. These guys have seen me at my worst. And luckily, they were dumb enough to stick with me. Now, I miss them more than ever. SAAN NA KAYO BOYS and GIRLS…

Clear Anti-Dandruff Hair Fall Defense Shampoo

Upon the prodding of Kuya Andrew I decided to try out Unilever's Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. For good measure, I bought the Hair Fall Defense variant. Yes, I {used to} have dandruff, and my hair strands apparently don't like my scalp very much. The good news? The shampoo works. It significantly lessened my dandruff to almost none. I have tried other anti-dandruff shampoos. Either they didn't work, or they had an unpleasant strong smell. Clear, meanwhile, has a nice scent. The bad news? It does not work much to alleviate my hair fall problem. Not much to be noticeable anyway. My hair strands still break and fall. Also it is quite expensive. A 100 mL bottle costs more than PhP50. It's cheaper than the strong anti-dandruff shampoos I've tried, but it's much more expensive than other shampoo brands that I've tried. Nonetheless, I think it's worth its price. My hair is not limp or dry. It has a bouncy feel which I like. Would I recommend it? Yes, if your goal is dandruff control, then, you simply must try Clear. Otherwise, stick to the less expensive shampoo brands. {This is not a paid post. Just wanted to try out reviewing a…
